MORE THAN and Dogs for Good
We’re proud to partner with Dogs for Good
Join us in celebrating ‘Dogtober’ with Dogs for Good and Lorraine Kelly!
We’re working with Dogs for Good and Lorraine Kelly to celebrate Dogtober – a month-long fundraising campaign to show how our canine companions can be one of the most powerful remedies for winter loneliness.
With 38% of Brits reporting that they regularly feel lonely, we’re launching a special podcast series hosted by Lorraine Kelly, which you can listen to below. The podcasts celebrate the special relationships dogs help us form by sharing inspiring stories of how our furry friends have helped us ‘Get Walking, Start Talking’.
For more information on how you can get involved in Dogtober, visit Dogs for Good’s website.
Changing lives together

For Mental Health Awareness Week, we teamed up with Lorraine Kelly and Dogs for Good to highlight how dogs benefit our wellbeing
Did you know that dog owners have 69% more social interactions than non-dog owners? Together with TV presenter Lorraine Kelly and our charity partner, Dogs for Good, we wanted to highlight the amazing benefits dogs bring to our mental health, providing companionship and combatting loneliness.
We performed a little experiment on the number of interactions Lorraine has while walking her dog, which you can watch below. And why not get involved by carrying out your own experiment and recording the results on Dogs for Good’s website.
Good by name, Good by nature
Dogs for Good has been making life-changing differences for people with disabilities
since 1988. The charity carefully matches the needs and lifestyle of an individual or family with the skills and temperament of the right dog. Whether an assistance dog, family dog, or community dog is needed, Dogs for Good's experts can help.
Our puppy pledge
Part of our pledge to Dogs for Good is to sponsor five of their puppies. We will give the puppies the support and funding they need for their whole lives. By doing this, we’ll be helping Dogs for Good put the puppies through training, partnering them with a client, and covering the aftercare costs.
Our puppies are named Damson, Darcy, Delta, DeeDee, and Ernie. They are currently with their volunteer families for the first important part of their training. Check out how they're getting on in their training one year on.
After approximately 18 months of training, including time with specialist dog trainers, these puppies will be ready to support adults or children with disabilities, or children with autism, to live a better life. We can’t wait for these puppies to make a world of difference to those that need them.
Providing MORE THAN just insurance
At MORE THAN, we strive to be more than just your insurer. MORE THAN was launched in June 2001 with an overarching desire to go the extra mile for our customers. We are dedicated to providing excellent service and products that our customers expect, and looking forward, we hope to do even more.
