You don't need to tell us if you want to use your car to transport goods such as charitable donations around the UK. Your cover will not be affected and all benefits will remain. 

If you are a MORE THAN car insurance customer we'll cover you if you plan to drive your car in Europe but there are a few things you need to do before you go:

• If you are planning on driving through multiple countries remember that they may have different restrictions and regulations on cross-border transport of goods. Make sure you check the travel advice issued by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office before you plan your trip

• Having a green card is not essential but may make driving in Europe easier. We can provide a green card, free of charge. Please contact us before you leave for us to arrange a green card for you.

We will provide a Foreign Use Extension free of charge for you to drive your car to one of the following countries bordering Ukraine to deliver humanitarian aid. 

These countries include: 

• Poland 
• Hungary 
• Slovakia 
• Romania.

The Foreign Use Extension will extend your cover whilst driving abroad to the same as you have in the UK. If you travel to a foreign country without a Foreign Use Extension you will only get the minimum of cover that applies to that country (this will vary by country).

If you have a LOW MILER or SMART WHEELS policy please contact us so we can help. If you have a LOW MILER car policy you'll need to increase your mileage to cover the journey, charges will apply.

This is simply if you drive abroad without a Foreign Use Extension you actually get the minimum level of cover that applies to the country that you have the accident in.

The good news is you don't have to tell us if you have a refugee staying in your home.

And, you only need to tell us after 1 April 2024 and when your policy renews.

We now classify all refugees as 'family members' and we will treat them as being a family member and they will receive the full benefits of the policy cover. 

Your policy is not affected if you house a refugee.
