Why has my excess changed?

Based on claims history and pet's age. 

The cost of looking after your pet's health doubles every 4 to 5 years. That's why your renewal price increases each year and your excess will increase when your pet turns 9. If a claim is paid, the price you will pay next year can double.

It’s important you budget for renewal prices to increase as your pet gets older, there is no limit to how much your renewal price can increase over time.

 

2 pets with different excess?

 

In 2017, we introduced a new excess structure based on previous claim history. Which is why if you have more than one pet, their excess may be different.

If you've never made a claim for your pet, they automatically moved to our new excess structure when their policy renewed. Meanwhile, if you made a claim for your pet, they remain on their existing excess.

Please read your schedule carefully for details of how the new excess applies to you and your pet.
