Information about the future of MORE THAN

You may have seen in the media that RSA will stop offering MORE THAN Home insurance to new and renewing customers from mid-2024.

If you are already a MORE THAN Home customer there is no need to worry and there is no immediate action, you need to take – your existing policy will continue to operate as normal and the way you contact us remains the same.

You may have seen in the media that RSA will stop offering MORE THAN Landlord insurance to new or renewing customers in early 2024.

If you are already a MORE THAN Landlord customer there is no need to worry and there is no immediate action, you need to take – your existing policy will continue to operate as normal and the way you contact us remains the same.

We will get in contact with you before you have to take any action, with details about your options and what the next steps will be.

You may have seen in the media recently that RSA will also stop offering MORE THAN Pet, Home and Landlord insurance to new and renewing customers from mid-2024. 

We had already confirmed in September 2023 that we would not be offering MORE THAN Car, SMART WHEELS or Low Miler new business quotes or renewals during 2024.  This is still the case, and for all our existing More Than Car, Smart Wheels, or Low Miler customers, you will receive a communication in due course which outlines the next steps and actions you need to take to continue with your motor insurance.

Unfortunately, we have had to take the difficult business decision for RSA to stop offering insurance under its MORE THAN brand during 2024.

It’s important to note that your current MORE THAN policy will continue unaffected; you will be able to make changes, claim and contact us as normal.

We will get in contact with you to advise on any next steps you need to take.

If you are an existing MORE THAN customer with policies that cover more than one insurance product type, for example, pet and home, we will communicate with you separately about each of these policies.

Importantly, your existing policies will continue to operate as normal and you will be able to make changes, claim and contact us in the usual way.

We will send you a letter a minimum of 30 days before you need to take any action, with details about your options and what the next steps will be.

We are able to provide communications in alternative formats if required and you can contact us in the usual way to request this. 

If you have already requested an alternative format of communication this has been noted on our system and we will send out your information using your preferred format.

Your claims will continue to be dealt with by MORE THAN at the current time. 

The way you contact us remains the same and we are fully committed to making sure you are looked after through your claims journey with MORE THAN.

We will get in contact with you in due course, to notify you of any changes that will occur.

If you have a MORE THAN Home or Pet quote, our quote validity period will continue to operate.  You can confirm acceptance of the quote and start your cover at any point within the stated quote validity period.
