Make sure you contact the right team, so you can speak to the right people about your claim.
Make a claim
When you make a claim, you’ll need to give us as much detail as possible.
Check your policy documents to make sure you’re covered for what you want to claim for.
We might ask for original receipts, invoices or valuations to support your claim.
If you’re claiming for theft or vandalism, always contact the police first so you can get a crime reference number. We’ll need it to process your claim.
Log in to your account to start your claim.
Alternatively, you can call us on 0330 3335 536.

Log in to your account to start your home insurance claim. Alternatively, you can give us a call on 0330 3335 536.
We’ll ask you:
- what's happened
- what you need to claim for
- if you have any documents to support your claim
Remember to check your policy documents to make sure you’re covered for what you want to claim for.
The time it takes to complete your claim depends on what you’re claiming for.
It also depends on who is dealing with your claim and if we need further support. For example, if we need to get a supplier to inspect the damage.
If you want to know how your claim has progressed, you can log in to MyMoreThan and message us or give us a call.
Alternatively, you can contact the supplier dealing with your claim (in this case we would have already provided you with their contact details).
Get in touch with us if you want to dispute your home insurance claim.
The best way to do this is to contact our Complaints team. Find all you need to know about making a complaint on our Complaints page.
Make sure you check your policy book first, so you understand what you are and aren’t covered for.
If you’re not happy with the decision, gather the evidence you need to challenge it.
You can then contact our Complaints team to file a complaint. Head to our Complaints page to find out more.
Yes, you can claim for jewellery on your home insurance. But it depends on your cover, your policy limits and how much your jewellery is worth.
You’ll need to make sure you’re covered for theft or damage inside or outside of the home, depending on the type of policy you have.
If your jewellery is worth more than £2,000, you must specify it on your policy to make sure it’s covered up to its full value.
Always check your policy documents for limits and exclusions.
You can find all you need to know about your home insurance policy and what to do if you need to make a claim, in your policy book.
Alternatively, log in to MyMoreThan to see your personal documents, message us or give us a call so we can help you.
It depends on your policy and the level of cover you have. More Than Premium includes Accidental Damage as standard. But you would have to add it to our other levels of cover.
If you have bought Accidental Damage as an add-on to your policy, you might be able to claim for DIY mistakes.
For example, you might be able to claim if you’ve accidentally hit a water pipe while drilling.
If you’re renovating your home, you’ll need to let us know so we can cover it on your policy.
Check your policy documents to see what's included in your cover.
Yes, you can withdraw your claim if you change your mind.
Contact us as soon as possible to let us know and tell us why you want to withdraw your claim.
This is the process of checking that your claim is valid. We need to make sure that your claim is legit and that your policy covers the incident before we can proceed.
The process might involve:
- checking your policy limits and exclusions
- getting evidence together
- inspecting the damage before we agree to repair any damage or settle your claim
If you're not sure whether to make a claim or not, we recommend logging in to MyMoreThan to see your policy book and documents. Remember to check your cover level and any limits and exclusions.
