Yes, we'll cover electric bikes as standard.

Our contents insurance covers e-bikes that are stolen from your home. You can also add personal possessions to cover your e-bike when you take it out and about. 

Policy number starts MTHP: Your bicycles are covered if stolen from your home or outbuilding, such as a shed or garage. This cover is up to the contents limit shown on your policy. However, if you have a MORE THAN Essentials policy, you won't be covered for theft from your outbuildings or garden.

Your bicycles are covered out of the home if you have personal possessions cover. If you’d like to add this cover to your policy, please visit your account.

There are limits to the amount we cover for each item (called a single article limit). However, you can specify bicycles on your policy that are worth more than this limit.

If a family member living in your household rides the bike insured under your MORE THAN home insurance policy, then it will be covered.

Yes, our personal possessions add-on covers bike accessories.

With our Standard and Extra cover, we'll cover your bike if it's been kept in a locked garage, shed or outbuilding.

This won’t be covered if you choose MORE THAN Essentials.

You need to work out the value of your bike to replace it as new.

A good place to start is to check the invoice or receipt you were given when you bought your bike. If you're still not sure what you paid, you can look up bicycle websites to help you work this out.

If you add personal possessions, we'll cover the value of unspecified bikes up to £2,000. If you choose an amount less than £2,000, you'll be covered up to your chosen limit. £500 is the minimum limit.

You'll need to tell us about any bikes worth over £2,000 that you take away from home.

If your bike is badly damaged or stolen, we can replace it with the same or similar make and model.
