How does the UK voting to leave the European Union affect my insurance policy?

There is no impact on your insurance policy. Whilst the UK has voted to leave the European Union, it will take time to negotiate our exit, and so for the immediate future the UK will remain a member of the EU, meaning there is no impact on your insurance cover.

Travel insurance

I am travelling to another European Union country, does the UK voting to leave the EU affect my travel insurance policy?

Car insurance

I am travelling to another European Union country by car. Does the UK voting to leave the European Union mean that I now need a ‘Green Card’ to prove I'm insured?

No, you do not require a ‘Green Card’ to travel to another European Union country by car. As always, please contact us prior to travelling abroad by car to make sure you have adequate insurance cover in place. Please also refer to the Government’s advice on driving abroad.

Pet insurance

I have pet insurance and I'm travelling to another European Union country with my pet, does the UK voting to leave the European Union affect my Pet holiday cover?

Van insurance

I have van insurance. Does the UK voting to leave the EU affect whether I am still covered to drive in EU countries under my MORE TH>N Business Van policy?

No, there is no immediate impact on your MORE TH>N Business Van policy which provides the minimum legal cover as standard whilst you’re driving in any other EU country. If you want to receive the same level of cover as you enjoy in the UK, please call us and ask for a Foreign Use extension which is a chargeable extra cover.
