The science behind In-Car Entertainers

The beginning of the day sets the tone for the rest of it, and there’s nothing more stressful to start it off than the dreaded school run. Trying to keep the kids happy and settled in the back seat whilst concentrating on the road ahead is no easy task.

Stress rates are ever increasing in the UK – 74% of the UK have felt 'overwhelmed or unable to cope' at some point in the past year*. On top of this, 57% of parents find the school run to be the most stressful time of their day**.

Here at MORE THAN we want to turn the school run into a more valued and personable time for families, which is why we’ve launched our In-Car Entertainers campaign.

Working with leading developmental psychologist Dr Sam Wass, we’ve developed some stimulating and non-distracting activities for parents and kids to do in the car on their way to school. They are all interactive and aimed at helping you have a positive start to the day.

To help inject a bit of fun into a typical school run, our In-Car Entertainers used some of these principles, such as storytelling, to keep the kids engaged.

Our first In-Car Entertainer is exotic animal expert Scott Adams. He was on hand to make the most of Daddy to Triplet Girls young son Henry’s passion for animals.  Watch the video and find out more tips and advice here.
