Online Motor Car Insurance Fraud Information MORE TH>N
FRAUD INFORMATION
Insurance fraud is a big problem, not just for the insurers but for the police and for everyone who has legitimate car insurance. Honest customers usually have to bear the brunt of fraud, which leads to higher premiums.
With so many car insurance company options online, many people make the mistake of just choosing a cheap car insurance company, without considering the details. And you may well be fine with a cheap car insurance company - as long as you don’t have to make a claim.
At MORE TH>N we try to avoid passing on that cost to our valued customers. We use advanced anti-fraud technology and share our claims information via the Claims and Underwriting Exchange Register (CUE), run by Insurance Database Services Ltd (IDS Ltd). We also contribute information to the Motor Insurance Anti-fraud and Theft Register (MIAFTR) which is run by the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
Your answers to our questions are material facts and you are responsible for providing accurate information for yourself and all named drivers. Supplying incorrect details may result in your policy being invalid or not covered in the event of a claim.
If we detect any false or inaccurate information we pass that onto fraud prevention agencies who, together with law enforcement agencies, use this information to prevent fraud and money laundering.
We're taking further steps to protect our customers by validating No Claim Discount, details of your car and additional drivers.
To do this we may ask you to provide proof of your No Claim Discount along with copies of your V5C (Vehicle Registration Certificate) and Driving Licence (including counterpart) for all drivers.
If you know or suspect anyone who is making fraudulent or inflated claims you can help by reporting them in complete confidence and for free at: www.insurancefraudbureau.org/report 0800 328 2550
